A few weeks ago, you renamed a category from "Category:Naval ships named after people" to Category:Naval warships named after people. Please explain why. For actual warships, "naval warship" is something of a tautology. On the other hand, most navies include ships that are not strictly warships, but are auxiliary ships. Are tugs; dry cargo ships; oil tankers; troop ships; and so on in naval service "naval warships"? "Naval ship" is a straightforward term that includes any ship operated by a navy. "Naval warship" is unnecessarily longer. What is your purpose in elongating the name of this category? Motacilla (talk) 05:18, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum, which you've already done. I've manually replaced the usage in the language versions. Regards זיו「Ziv」For love letters and other notes 03:36, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Overwriting is allowed for files showing current data, which that edit was. – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 07:02, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is intended for maps, but not for flags, seals or coats of arms, and especially not if the image shows something completely different. And since the file is now used as such in the English version of Wikipedia, please refrain from further resetting. Thank you.
